Eyeshot the Movie is a dramatization of an actual event that occurred in New York City on March 12, 2014 where several buildings in the Harlem section exploded due to a gas incident. The incident resulted in the death of 8 people and injury to approximately 70 others
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_East_Harlem_apartment_buildings_explosion)
The dramatization of the incident is composed of two main characters that share a rooftop/window view in adjacent buildings. The protagonist of the story is Kayla Corley, who has just arrived from an upscale residence in Los Angeles to accept an appointment at Juilliard in New York City. The antagonist is JayCee Peterson, the teenage bully of the neighborhood who’s aspiring to be a rapper/lyricist that spends most of his time on the adjacent building rooftop. The rooftop is where he finds solace and writes poetry and lyrics. The title, Eyeshot derives from their careful watch from rooftop to her window that tethers these talented individuals to the gas incident. The two characters develop a venomous relationship as their lives become more successful.
Kayla and JayCee share a deadly secret...or do they?
Where do the lies begin and end, who’s been deceitful and was there a murder?
